Meet Love Fragola So some of you have been wondering who’s the person behind Cooking With Luv.com? So I thought I would include a short Bio about myself. My real name is Love. Yes, I have been asked many times, "is that your real name"? I always laugh when I hear this because I wonder do people really think that I would introduce myself with a made up name? I am one of eight children but the only one with a unique name and the only fortunate one to get teased. My Nana was Native American Indian and when I was born my mother said that I looked like a beautiful Indian baby and that she loved me so much. Sometimes, I alter the version to make it a bit more interesting. I am a graduate of St. Lawrence University in “North Country” NY where it is COLD COLD COLD! It is pretty much on the border of Canada and a great Hockey school if you follow hockey. I have a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from JWU. Ironically enough, JWU has a world renowned cooking program. While studying to become business savvy, I found myself distracted by the smell of baked bread and would use my class breaks to talk to the pastry chefs. Sometimes I kick myself that I didn’t apply to the cooking program. Despite the lack of a formal cooking degree, I do have ten plus years of cooking experience preparing three meals per day. During this time, I slowly developed a sincere passion for cooking. I have always enjoyed creating and experimenting with different dishes and spices. I became addicted to reading and collecting cooking magazines and watching cooking shows. My passion developed my skills and cooking is something (so I am told) I am good at. Since I enjoy talking to people I thought the best way to share stories, recipes and ideas was to start a web site and here I am. The purpose of my website is to help others make meal time less stressful and offer meal ideas that are useful for everyone. It is not a recipe exchange (there are too many out there) but I will post a few recipes here and there to give people ideas and allow people to expand there own recipe database. I want it to grow and become a place of fun food facts, interesting life testimonies and refreshing ideas. So Enjoy and Have fun!
Sincerely,
Love

HALLOUMI CHEESE
It was love at first site. This cheese is soft enough to melt in your mouth, but firm enough to grill or fry. Halloumi is a Middle Eastern/Greek cheese that is primarily made of a mix of goat and sheep's milk, but can also contain cow's milk. Don't let it fool you by thinking it has a strong taste. It has a very natural taste similar to a mozzarella with salty overtones. The best thing about the cheese is that it has a higher than normal melting point allowing it to get crispy and brown while it retains its original shape. You can purchase it a local cheese shop or Whole Foods. Look for more recipes to come using Halloumi Cheese.
